Nicolas Rhally
Nicolas Rhally joined ARCH as a Partner in May 2007. His primary responsibility is for the Private Equity investment function. Mr. Rhally has 23 years experience across mergers and acquisitions, private equity, debt and equity capital markets. He was most recently a founding member of New Smith Capital, a London-based investment and merchant banking group, where his main responsibility was for corporate finance business in Switzerland and France. Mr. Rhally served as Managing Director at Merrill Lynch International from 1995 to 2002, where he established the European Financial Sponsors Group and developed the group into a leading provider of LBO banking services. From 1988 to 1995 he served as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at Credit Suisse First Boston, focusing mainly on European M&A deals. During the 1980s Mr. Rhally was based in the US and Switzerland and practiced corporate law and litigation. He passed the New York Bar Examination in 1987 and the Zurich Bar Examination in 1984. Mr. Rhally holds a Masters degree in International Taxation and Comparative Law from the University of Chicago, and graduated magna cum laude in Law from the University of Zurich in 1981.
